Similar issuie here with Slimbook Creative laptop.

Summary

After updating to kernel 6.12.17-1-MANJARO, the WiFi stopped working.  The issue was resolved by rolling back to kernel 6.6 LTS.

System Information

• Device: Slimbook laptop
• WiFi Card: MediaTek mt7921e
• Working Kernel: 6.6.80-1-MANJARO
  
• Broken Kernel: 6.12.17-1-MANJARO
• Distro: Manjaro (fully updated)

Error Messages in Kernel 6.12

After booting into kernel 6.12, dmesg showed the following errors:

Hola, mi recomendación es que pruebes desde un LiveUSB, y si tampoco funciona, entonces deberías de abrir un ticket para tramitar la garantía de la tarjeta WiFi.

I'm sorry to hear that you are having problems with the WiFi. I think your Creative is running Debian 12 and kernel 6.12, would it be possible to try with testing repositories? It is possible that the WiFi driver is not quite stable on this version.

Yes, the same thing has happened to us with Manjaro, it seems that with the new kernel something is not working quite right.
In principle if you reinstall the system seems to remain stable, but if not the solution is to downgrade to kernel 6.6.

@Eusebio, thanks for your answer and help. I have asked ChatGPT what he could find regarding this issue and He suggested to update the kernel. Next there was missing firmware for instance of the nvdia card which is now also updated. It is working!

I do get a connection with my build in WIFI, that came with the laptop, but it stops constantly and then searches for a network and than it finds it again and then looses it again. I btw do not have a usb wifi.
