Hi, how does one reset Slimbook OS (Ubuntu Gnome) to defaults and remove all personal data and apps that you installed, before handing it over to someone else?

The easiest way is reinstalling your Ubuntu.
If you don't want to reinstall it, you can try to open Synaptic and delete all those programs you installed, and are not in Ubuntu's standard installation, delete all those ppa you added to repositories and finally open a Console ( CTRL+ALT+F1...... F4 ) , delete your user and create a temporal one as Guest or something like this.
Log in with the new user and find an utility to secure delete the free space of the disk.
